This home underwent an extensive renovation to the downstairs area. The lounge and dining area were reconfigured, laundry moved, and the kitchen integrated better into the living space. Careful planning allowed for a small walk in pantry to be included behind a wall of the kitchen and the laundry given a new door to the exterior. The client chose some beautiful dark turquoise hand made tiles for the stand-out feature wall behind the cooktop. Drawers and specialised storage were used extensively in the kitchen and pantry to maximise storage and convenience. The small laundry still has enough storage and benchspace. Colours & materials are co-ordinated in the three spaces with the same timbergrain laminate on the island drawers used for the cabinets in the laundry. The island bench is recnstituted quartz with laminate used to all other areas for economy.
This was a joint project with Tania of Green Room Interiors who paid special attention to the client's love of colour when selecting finishes, lighting and fabrics for new and refurbished items.
