Mount Martha Mansion

A large home on the Mornington Pensinsula which was trapped in the early 2000s with a dated Tuscan style look. The whole house was updated to a sleek, mainly white look. The kitchen was updated with the dumb waiter replaced with a small, one-person elevator to allow for age-in-place living. The large external door was relocated to give an improved layout to the kitchen with lots of benchspace. A large butler's pantry was fitted into the space under the stairs . The extra storage in the pantry allows for the kitchen to be open and airy with no overhead cabinets.
Bathrooms were updated throughout and wall beds with desks installed in a couple of guest bedrooms.

Built-in wall bed with integrated desk. The bed folds under when the bed is pulled down. Storage for office equipment in the adjacent storage/wardrobes for when the space is used as a guest bedroom.

Ensuite bathroom with glass panel through to main bedroom with views across Port Phillip Bay. Mostly white but note the feature tiles behind the bath showing in the mirror.

The previous kitchen was dark, relatively small with very little benchspace. The workflow was disjointed with a large walkway between cooking and sink areas. The refrigerator protrudes so far into the walk-space it is hard to get past. Deep overhead cabinets made it hard to lean into the cooktop...
