The Family House in the Hills
After raising their family in this sprawling home, the clients for this project expected to move, not sure what to do with so much space. But after realizing that the home truly had an ideal location—with park-like settings, idyllic views, and a great layout—the plan changed. They decided to stay and remodel.
The process took over a year. During that time, the entire house was stripped to its studs. Square footage was added to both the kitchen and master bathroom, along with raised ceiling heights, exposed beams, brand new cabinets and tile, gorgeous hardwood floors, and custom lighting fixtures.
The main objective was to create a flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, and to make each room feel like an extension of the next. The result was a modernized, simplified, cohesive design. Whether entertaining for a huge family affair, an intimate dinner party, or simply a quiet night at home, this house has been tailored from top to bottom to perfectly fit the client’s needs.
