The Lennox Parramatta
The Lennox, a landmark, 47 storey residential tower in Parramatta, presented unique design challenges that required thoughtful resolution. With over 440 apartments set to accommodate approximately 1,000 residents, the project demanded common areas that were both highly durable and visually comforting. The design team had to ensure that high-traffic spaces maintained a warm, residential atmosphere while meeting the 47 storey residential tower of longevity and wear resistance. By blending robust materials with soft finishes and carefully layered textures, the team achieved a harmonious balance between resilience and elegance across the three levels of shared amenities.
Another key concern was ensuring a consistent sense of luxury throughout all unit types—from studios to penthouses—without relying solely on high-end finishes in premium residences. Given the project's diverse offerings and the competitive Parramatta market, the team prioritized an elevated experience from the moment of entry. Strategic material selections, including honed stone, brushed brass, and sculptural timber, created a cohesive sense of understated sophistication. This thoughtful curation not only added perceived value to every apartment but also supported the developer’s goal of selling each unit as an upgrade-worthy home, enhancing the project's commercial appeal.
In addition to performance and aesthetic considerations, cultural sensitivity and storytelling were integral to the design. The Lennox stands on Aboriginal land, and the team paid tribute to the local heritage by drawing inspiration from the Parramatta River, a place historically significant to the Aboriginal people. A custom-designed carpet flows through all 47 floors, echoing the movement of the river, while wall panelling, stone patterns, and sculptural elements subtly reflect the site's natural and spiritual narrative. Through these design choices, The Lennox honours its roots while establishing itself as a timeless sanctuary that seamlessly blends cultural legacy with urban luxury.
