Wavelength
Located in the coastal heart of Cronulla, Wavelength is a multi-residential development that captures the spirit of contemporary beachfront living in one of Sydney’s fastest-growing seaside communities. Comprising over 40 apartments, along with ground-floor food and beverage offerings, rooftop amenities, wellness zones, and a beachfront-facing pool area, the project offered a rare opportunity to create a cohesive, lifestyle-driven address. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape, the design embraces sand-toned neutrals, warm textures, and a distinctly “Sydney vibe”—allowing the stunning ocean views to take centre stage.
The design intent was to create a soft, tonal palette that supported, rather than competed with, the site’s natural beauty. Floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glazing in every residence frames uninterrupted views, blurring the line between interior and exterior. Materials were selected to reflect the rhythm of the coast—think stone, timber, and subtle textures that age gracefully with the salt air. The goal was to give residents a sophisticated, calming backdrop that enhances their everyday experience while maintaining a distinct sense of place.
One of the main challenges was achieving design consistency across the scale and diversity of the project. From exterior cladding to rooftop finishes, from common corridors to highly customized penthouses, the design had to balance individuality with unity. The team was responsible for setting the tone through exterior materialisation, rooftop and pool zone design, full penthouse customisation, and detailed selections of finishes and fixtures for all standard apartments. This required close collaboration with multiple consultants, tight scheduling, and rigorous quality control to maintain the project's premium positioning.
Additionally, we delivered a fully designed and styled display suite to support the property’s sales campaign. This suite served as both a physical representation of the design vision and a tool to help prospective buyers connect emotionally with the lifestyle on offer. Wavelength stands today as a testament to how thoughtful, site-responsive design—when combined with a clear creative vision—can elevate coastal living into something timeless, refined, and deeply resonant with its surroundings.
