Traditional Solid Timber Kitchen with Black Granite tops
Classic Solid Timber Kitchen with Black Granite Benchtops and Salmon Granite Splashbacks. The owners of this home love Period Furniture and wanted a kitchen that complimented these and their rich timber colours and French Polished finishes.
For this Kitchen we chose Nyatoh a red hardwood with a figurative grain to suit the desired style and then toned and polished this with 70 percent Gloss nitro lacquer. In addition to the Leadlight Glass display units we also incorporated into the design a Semi-Integrated Dishwasher, 10 Drawers with Blum Full Extension runners, a Timber Tambour Roll Front Appliance Unit and a Built-in Microwave Combi-Grill where we also custom made for our client one of our Microwave Stealth Shelf units which we built-in; whereby providing a pull-out shelf with additional put-down space directly where needed.
Fortunately this room was large; making it well suited to the darker tones of this furniture style. In addition to making this new Timber Kitchen, we also made the matching Wainscot Paneling to run around the adjoining walls, which we topped with additional chair-rail moldings, to perfectly maintain this Classic Old English look throughout the room.
Our client selected 40mm Adelaide Black Granite benchtops with bullnose edges and contrasted this with 20mm thick Salmon Granite Splashbacks. We also laid for our client a white Quarella Perlato Appia Marble floor which matched the adjacent carpet colour and bringing all these areas together.
