The existing garden was completely redone and deck was refurbished to a new colour. Even though this was a small space but every vertical angle was maximised and detail was thought off as all key visuals from inside the small townhouse was impacted. The custom water feature/bird bath was installed to encourage bird life into the garden and there have been many visits! My client absolutely loves her new garden and her bird friends visiting her everyday!
Materials wise, the design involved a mixed planting palette of exotics and natives to the colour palette and low maintenance requirements my client was very comfortable with. As usual, I can't have a garden with some feature rocks so some larger pieces were incorporated around the key native groundcover to recreate a rockery effect which the client loved. The trellis feature on the main fenceline was custom designed for this client to incorporate the steel artwork she had already purchased and the geometrical design that resulted is a unique feature of this project!
