We were contracted to construct a new pool as part of a major extension. Space was always going to be tight so the design was critical to maximizing both the pool and surrounding area. The pool was designed so that the new two-storey extension would sit directly on top. This required specific engineering to ensure the pool acted as a foundation for the home.

A spa was incorporated into the pool design to help extend the swimming season while also creating a social and therapeutic function. The spa is heated with a gas heater and can be easily operated from inside the home. The pool has may low maintenance features including Paramount PCC2000 infloor cleaning, automatic leveling and automatic chlorination. The pool and courtyard are well lit to produce a dramatic effect after dark.

The pool is fully tiled with an Ocean Blue mosaic creating a deep sea feel. Limestone paving and coping compliment the painted timber weatherboards of the house. A timber feature screen has been installed in front of the boundary fence to provide a sleek backdrop for the pool. This extends to the raised timber platform at one end of the pool, a nice place for relaxing in the sun. A water feature comes out from below the raised deck.
