Effortless outdoor living
In order to provide the homeowners with a tranquil outdoor space that will help them relax and unwind from their busy professional lives, we created a design that was not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing.
The inner-city backyard was cleverly designed in two tiers, with the pool elevated above the rest of the space. A beautiful visual feature, the pool’s infinity edge creates a spacious feel which is ideal for harmonious living and entertaining. The infinity style of the pool also enhances the aesthetics of the split-level yard, creating a safety compliant environment without the need for obstructive gates and fencing.
The mix of materials used throughout the outdoor area, such as the silver travertine cladding, grey limestone paving, river pebbles and silvertop ash timber, were all specifically selected to enhance the natural appeal of the space.
The careful selection of mid-blue pool tiles creates a striking vibrancy within the space. When combined with the verdant ficus hillii border – which provides an illustrious green hue around the area – the interior finish makes for an incredibly attractive extension of the home.
The neighbouring wall, which was crafted from old red bricks, proved to be a valuable inclusion despite the difficulties it caused. Rather than building a fence to conceal the brick wall, it was incorporated as a design feature, creating a striking contrast to the surrounding timber fencing.
