Hamptons Style Infinity Pool

Our client was a custom builder constructing a showpiece home for his family to live in. They wanted a pool that was multi-functional and would stay relevant as the family grows. It needed to be fun for the kids, and provide areas for relaxation and entertainment for adults. It was also important to compliment the beautiful new Hamptons style home and to be low maintenance and easy to operate.

The pool was designed to sit within an entertainment and relaxation zone at the rear of the property adjacent to a pool house. The area includes a pool, spa, gym and sauna to complete the health and lifestyle space. The pool sits nestled between the upper and lower levels of this split yard with an infinity edge providing the link between the two spaces.

As you enter the front door of the house you are treated to a view of the pool in the background, centred to the entry hallway. As you get closer, the features become more evident, with water seen dancing over the stacked stone wall into the dry pebble bed below. Beyond the waterfall the azure blue awaits, opening into a large entertaining space.

The materials chosen are luxurious, with the stacked stone granite infinity wall complementing the stunning blue glass mosaic tiles in the pool. The natural stone chosen for the infinity edge was also used on a fireplace in the living room and columns around the front of the house to create a sense of identity. The silver travertine provides the grey hues typical of Hamptons style homes.
The pool has plenty of space for fun and relaxation. A full length swimout runs into a large entry pad with rolled tiled edges to create a smooth transition into the pool. A generous sized spa creates a space for both entertaining and relaxing after a hard day.

No expense has been spared on the equipment with this pool including in-floor cleaning, solar and gas heating, in-home automation and automatic chlorination.
The brief has been met with the pool being functional, beautiful, easy to operate and low maintenance.
