A new house built on a flat battleaxe site. The site had varying views toward the water and a great northerly aspect which was capitalised on. The client’s brief was focused on working with the environment and gaining access to the distant water views. Due to the aspect to the north we had a great opportunity to include a number of mechanical and passive design elements which opened the house and closed down to suit the varying seasons.
