There are kitchens that look good. And there are kitchens that have to perform. This homeowner needed the second kind.

He cooks seriously. Entertains frequently. The existing kitchen was fighting him at every turn — appliances in the wrong places, circulation that slowed everything down, prep zones that overlapped. The layout wasn't built for someone who actually uses a kitchen hard.

The sink, range, and refrigerator all moved to establish a proper work triangle. A tapered peninsula went in — storage on both sides, built-in microwave access, charging stations, casual seating — without closing off the surrounding rooms. A 36-inch commercial-style range with a 42-inch hood went against the wall. LED task lighting throughout. Strong where it needed to be, warm where it mattered.

During flooring installation a window was accidentally broken. It was replaced within a week and the adjacent dining area was repainted. Not because it was required — because that's how the job gets done.
