Luxury Kitchen Remodel — Pelham Manor, NY

The home was already gutted. The plans were approved. Construction was moving. Then we walked in and saw what the plans had missed.

On paper the layout worked. In practice it left the kitchen short of what a house at this level deserved — circulation paths that hadn't been tested against real use, storage that hadn't been thought through, and work zones that would conflict the moment more than one person was cooking. We stopped construction, rebuilt the design from scratch, and started over.

A family-room window was shifted just enough to unlock a full-height cabinet wall integrating a paneled refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, and beverage center. A secondary prep and cleanup zone with a double-drawer dishwasher and prep sink was positioned to absorb entertaining traffic without disrupting the main workspace. The island was sized to carry the full workload of the room — prep, cleanup, storage, and seating — with nothing left unresolved. Custom cabinetry, hand-built with double crown molding tight to the ceiling. "Stunning" was the word everyone kept coming back to.
