The client's wish for this yard was to create a space in which they could enjoy the view over the valley they overlooked. Being the front yard privacy was created through retaining walls, hedging, and screens to create an oasis in which to sit and be. As you entered the space you could catch glimpses of the view which opened up to a framed vista as you entered the new courtyard.
