The timber on the island bench top has been personalized by a friend who surprised the clients with a stamp and an image of a cog wheel, both related to a past connection to the wool grading industry. The clients love antiques. The leg to the island is an old balustrade from Dame Nellie Melba’s estate, which the client meticulously restored. It adds another personal touch to their kitchen which exudes old world charm and character.
