A popular request of our architectural team is for a modern, efficient and "smart" home that is smaller than the typical family home. Often it is once the clients' children have left home and they wish to simplify their lives. Advantages of downsizing can be a reduction in mortgage, ability to increase savings, lower maintenance and utility costs, and a greater freedom to travel.
Also it can mean a higher level of finish can be afforded given the reduction in build costs.
