We built our new home with Civic Steel homes and were so happy with the results. Our experience with the whole team was fantastic. Kirsten and Kelly were so great with every step of the design process. We started with some very vague ideas of what we wanted and through numerous conversations, email exchanges, and meetings on site and at their offices the design phase moved from preliminary sketches through to detailed plans including costings. This collaborative approach was invaluable in helping come up a with design that incorporated what suited our family's needs and was so much more than we could have envisioned from our initial ideas. This design phase included the building specifications and selection of all inclusions from exterior finishes to internal fixtures and fittings. Again the Civic team approach was incredible, including showroom visits to select tiles and carpets, and Kirsty's assistance in their own onsite design rooms with selections and samples for everything from bricks and colorbond, door handles, to taps, sinks and seemingly endless options for stone and laminate. Once all selections were complete Civic Steel Homes then provided a fixed price building contract which provided great peace of mind, though still provided us with some flexibility during the build. The process of the actual building of the home is a great testament to all the team involved with Civic. Our building manager, Alan, was an inspiration and by the completion of the project we had nothing but respect for his great organisational skills and his quick response to any issue or enquiry was definitely greatly appreciated. As the building process progressed we got to know pretty much everyone in the Civic team (building and admin) and their dedication and pride in achieving a high quality product specific for the individual client was evident throughout, including the fact that they all wanted to check out the finished product on handover day. We are now getting settled in and can't wait to enjoy many years with family and friends enjoying such a fantastic home. Civic Steel Homes are a truly professional outfit. We searched for over three years to find a builder for our sloping block and when we first met the Project Manager, Mr Shane Windsor we were blown away by firstly his responsiveness, for example he rang back within 24 hours of our initial enquiry and had brochures in the mail and had us booked for an inspection at recently completed building projects. We were then impressed with his knowledge and the confidence he had in his team to deliver. Importantly for us, who had never built before, there was absolute transparency in the process and a fixed price contract. Then we met Kelly Grimley who visited the block and pretty much immediately knew what he could do. Within a week we had the concept sketch on our dining room table and it was visionary. To say that we are a discerning couple with a high attention to detail and some levels of inflexibility is probably fair. We worked through 11 versions of the design in intricate detail down to specifically designing walls to fit some antique furniture. Throughout this process Shane displayed the patience of a saint, but was not shy in letting us know when something wouldn't work when he thought it would compromise the house. We listened and adjusted and we happier for it. Then the process began and the next team member emerged, Construction Manager, Alan Toms. No nonsense, delivers on time and a problem solver. The team working together is something to behold and who can say, that the design, process and final house exceeded our expectations. Full views at the front and the back of the house. No-one else could deliver on that. I wish I had another block of land to do it all again, but I shall resign myself to have these guys as great mates.

We had our home built by Civic Steel Homes in 2012 and have been 100% happy not only with the quality of the product we received, but also the level of service received, from the initial consultation, throughout construction and following the project. We faced some challenges with a sloping block, but in consultation with their in house architect have been able to make the most of our view, and have been provided with a light bright home which is a delight to live in.

The Civic Steel Homes team made the whole process of building our dream home on our block of land (with a difficult sandstone substrate) so easy and straightforward. Neither my husband nor I had built a new house before, and we were guided through the necessary steps and assisted in making all the decisions by the friendly, experienced and professional team, including a sales manager, in-house architect, colour consultant, accounts manager and a project manager all working in harmony to ensure our wishes were fulfilled. The results did justice to the magnificent views from our property, as you can see from the photos. Civic Steel Homes followed up after handover to make sure we were perfectly satisfied with every detail.
