Armadale Kitchen

Creating a modern feel with practical elements within the Victorian home was the key for our clients, when they undertook a major renovation in their home. A design requirement from the client was to integrate the living and kitchen space for a continuous flow from one area to another.

Our designer also created a desk area within the kitchen design, a butler’s pantry, and an entertainment unit in the adjoining family room area. Although the butlers pantry is very small it is very effective use of space, hiding away the kettle, microwave, pantry items and toaster, in which the visual part of the kitchen was not compromised.

Cabinetry in the bathroom was custom designed and installed in the bathroom (that was completed by the builders who did the upstair renovation) The cabinetry was designed to house the hot water service, but maintain a sense of luxury that the rest of the bathroom exudes.

The laundry was designed to be practical for storing laundry baskets, washing and also all those other things that we store a laundry. Many people who see the pictures of this laundry say “it’s better than my kitchen”!

The term ‘New Modern’ has been used to describe this space, together with the finishes chosen that blend beautifully with the era of the home with the leading brands of internal hardware and accessories. The clean white colour scheme together with a simple profile door, painted with a satin finish blends in effortlessly to the space with natural light flooding in from the back bi-fold doors and glass atrium opposite the island bench.
