Toorak 2
This beautiful townhouse in Toorak was in need of a new kitchen that gave ‘a sense of light’ to a dark room. The home owner discussed that she wanted to feel like she was walking into a brightly lit room. This was achieved by using neutral colours and maximising the use of light above the cabinetry, with pelmet fluorescent lighting and also under-cabinet halogen lights.
There was cabinetry in the room that was not going to be changed, so the colour was given to the painter to be matched for the kitchen cabinets. They were beautifully painted with a satin finish and the benchtop chosen was 40mm Caesarstone ‘Snow’. They also chose Caesarstone ‘Snow’ for the splashbacks, which gives an overall sense of sophistication and beauty.
Practicality and clean lines were a big part of the clients brief and this was achieved by having no handles and the use of drawers for storage and Hafele Cargo bin. Blum’s Servo Drive was used for all drawers and bin drawer which makes this kitchen not only functional and practical, but state of the art.
Together with the clients choice of finishes, appliances and undermount sink with sloped drainer in the stone benchtop, the Rosemount Kitchens designer was able to create a space that now the clients don’t want to leave
