The rear garden at this modern terraced family home in Oxford was tired, cluttered and provided little room for entertaining with pergolas, a large shed, planting and paving all competing for space. The new owners decided that a radical low maintenance redesign was required and contacted AWBS to turn their vision for a smart new sandstone paved garden into a reality.

The AWBS Landscaping team transformed this once muddy and cluttered garden to low maintenance sandstone paved beauty with plenty of space for the children to play and for entertaining friends.

The AWBS Landscaping team began by dismantling the shed and pergola before removing the old paving and rockery and clearing all waste materials from site ready for the new Sandstone paving.

The extensive patio covered the entire garden and was arranged in 2 tiers draining to gullies containing Golden Spay gravel which also create an attractive frame for the sandstone. The AWBS Landscaping also created 2 new steps to the rear patio doors.

The completed patio transforms the previously cluttered garden into a large and flexible entertaining space with elegant and durable natural sandstone paving that will require little more than sweeping and occasional washing to stay looking like new for a long time.

In total our landscaping team laid 36m2 of our very own AWBS Desert Sand sandstone paving in a random pattern finished off with a buff coloured jointing compound to create this lovely patio in Oxford.
