This customer in Oxford wanted to replace and enlarge their existing driveway with a smart new block paved surface to create extra parking and resolve a historic drainage issue where surface water was flooding the garage. To create the new drive the small area of existing lawn was incorporated into the drive design and Brett Beta Trio block paving in Silver Haze colour was chosen for the project. To correct the drainage issue, we created a compound fall to the new driveway surface which evacuated surface water across and down the drive to Aco rainwater channels across the front of the garage which were connected into a new soakaway under the drive. The block paving was laid in a random linear laying pattern inside a single width running course border and new steps and a paved ramp were created providing access to the front door or the property. The project duration was 6 days.
