The front garden of the customers property sloped steeply down to the road. Parking was limited, and the surface was a slippery mixture of mud and loose paving that also extended up the right side of the property to a single garage at the rear. The client wanted a new block paved driveway and hard landscaping to address the steep slope with new retaining walls to the front of the house and around the high bank and large tree to the right of the garden. Our solution was to grade the site to soften the slop of the drive and install reclaimed railway sleepers vertically to create retaining walls. The customer wanted a high grip surface for the driveway and we suggested Brett Lugano block paving as its textured surface would provide excellent grip in all conditions and Graphite Grey was chosen for the finished drive. At the front of the house we installed new steps, flower beds and sandstone paving. The duration of the project was 20 days
