This kitchen remodel in historic Old Town Alexandria features full overlay cherry wood cabinets with a toffee stain along with a starlight white island with a mocha glaze. Removing a dividing wall and opening the kitchen to the dining room allows for natural light to flow throughout the house. Combining traditional style with modern finishes and fixtures provide a timeless yet updated look. The custom wood hood, pendant lights and wine refrigerator complete the kitchen. Last but not least, our favorite feature is the removable wine storage above the refrigerator. Instead of building a permanent wine cabinet the carpenter took matching material to built a custom insert to give the homeowners flexibility.
