This kitchen remodel was part of a whole house renovation of a mid-century modern home in the Wessynton neighborhood nestled in the heart of Mt.Vernon. The kitchen was previously a dark enclosed space and by opening a wall into the living room not only is the space much more cohesive but the kitchen feels a lot bigger. Keeping with the mid-century modern aesthetic we went with a natural red birch slab style door. The grain is slip matched and flows vertically through each cabinet. Red birch has a lot of character to the grain and looks great on this style of cabinet.
