This house received a Commendation award in the 2017 South Australian Architecture Awards. The house which is situated in the Adelaide hills, is sited on a sloping block that is oriented at 45 degrees to north. This orientation led to the forms being generated in such a way that living spaces were able to face true north. This energy efficient house is planned with small courtyards that optimises natural breezes and solar access.
The external walls are finished in Exotec panels juxtaposed with Colorbond corrugated metal cladding.
