The name of the home was derived from the timbers which feature in the garden, the barn and within the home. The timbers are recycled bridge timbers from the Yarramalong Valley in NSW. They have been positioned in the garden creating both functional and aesthetic purposes. Within the home they stand strong supporting the roofing structure frame openings. The owners love both the strength of the beams and the softness of the texture that has occurred due to 100 years of weathering by the rivers currents.
Using colours from the surrounding bushland with in the homes decor ensures the home sits with quiet pride amongst its environment.
