The owners needed to extend and upgrade their home, a worker's cottage on a narrow block in a good area. A backyard pod extension was the obvious solution. The sloping block allowed this to also provide under-cover car accommodation.
The project was staged so the owners could live on site throughout the construction process, moving into the rear extension while renovations of the cottage are carried out.
