The old kitchen in this 1960s home was severly dysfynctional. Its geometry was disrupted by a bay window on one long side and 2 doors at opposing corners, so 3 small disconnected workspaces had been awkwardly placed in the only available spaces.
A complete renovation with major changes to all kitchen walls and openings was needed to resolve interconnections for practical flow and an improved workspace in a simple galley configuration. A breakfast bar was also added where the new kitchen was opened up to adjacent dining area.
