Kitchen with Trieste Terrazzo Benchtops

This kitchen is a gorgeous example of a transitional kitchen. It clearly illustrates that how a space is accessorised, hugely influences, more than just about anything else, what overall style is conveyed. Remove the copper accoutrements and ornate decoration above the island, and you have a fairly plain, modern look kitchen. The addition of these same items change it drastically to convey more of a farmhouse rather than modern style, and makes it anything but plain. Clean lines are retained, but are softened by the choice of sink, tap, kitchen ware, sub-way tile splashback, and island decoration. The terrazzo benchtop, very much on trend, also adds a fun touch, and helps to tie in all of the various black and white elements in the space. The louvered windows and timber floors complete and enhance the look.
Functionality has not been forgotten, with the clever placement of pull-outs, smart pantries, and well thought out drawer organisers, to make this kitchen a joy for not only the eye to behold, but also the keen cook to work in.
Note how the all-important third colour, variations on copper/orange, is carefully introduced to add pizzazz to the overall monochrome theme.
