Renovation of Kitchen, Bathrooms and Laundry
The owners of this large established 1930's house in Dover Heights decided that a major extension project was not for them. Instead, they opted to update their home with substantial internal renovations to give the dated interior a complete makeover.
Rather than the faded beiges and rigid design, a more upbeat, fresh and flexible design was chosen as the perfect solution to give their home the new lease of life they sought.
The old kitchen and bathrooms, whilst serviceable, were sorely looking their age and crying out for a much more contemporary look and layout. The transitional style was selected to be sympathetic to the style of the house as well as the owners' taste in furnishings, whilst at the same creating a much more modern vibe. The achromatic colour scheme adds the freshness and is tempered perfectly by the timber floors and garden scapes.
In the kitchen, the large bay window and doors leading to the rear garden entertaining area offered the perfect spot for a an island dining area, specifically designed for table style dining rather than the less convivial bar-style configuration. The new layout allowed for the large island and conveniently transformed the adjacent living area to have a much more 'outlook-centric' furniture arrangement.
The laundry, bathrooms and new wardrobes all follow the same theme, and incorporate features such as a butler's pantry off the laundry area and beautiful sliding barn doors into the generous master ensuite.
With the addition of carefully chosen furniture, fixtures and decor items, the end result combines to create a fabulous, totally refreshed look that is not only beautiful to look at but is also highly functional.
