The client brief was to open up the existing wall from the kitchen to the living room space for an open plan style of living plus to en-capture the wonderful sun into the kitchen space. The bench-tops where only 450 deep and the oven and fridge stuck right out into the room creating a bottleneck for movement. The existing laundry was a maze to get to the external door with doors and walls constricting the space. We rearranged this wall to a more open plan style tucking away the laundry behind a wall and putting a large pantry and storage cupboard across the back wall. the effect was great as you could not see the laundry but the lovely cabinets in a high gloss finish. The Island into the living room was large and the stone bench-top complimented the cabinetry. With a glass splash back and a large Eco-granite beige sink the effect was more than the client expected.
