The clients, their 2 teenage daughters, and their much younger son, required a spacious home that would accommodate their wide array of needs, a private space for each member of the family, as well as entertainment of all kinds was on the agenda.

Parking for 4 cars, lap pool and spa were some of the many requirements for this substantial home.

The focus on Careful zoning drove the design concept, resulting in a home which offers an extremely high level of privacy and comfort where Function and practicality have been exploited. These elements are flanked with a high level of detail to deliver a home which just oozes style!

The challenging, sloping block forced the designer to use some practical thinking. By elongating, terracing and manipulating the house into the 5m slope – the designer captured the Northern sun whilst creating a journey of interesting indoor and outdoor spaces.

Advantage was taken of the rear access way by using it as the parents own personal entry point for easy access to their private and decadent wing, as well as the indulgent and highly detailed kitchen which is truly “the heart of this home”. The flow between the living / dining areas is seamless as they unfold into each other and spill outside. This is where lifestyle and function culminate!

As you ascend to the entrance you are met with a feeling of grandeur through the use of sumptuous materials such as polished plaster, glass, together with an array of other textured materials which ignite interest and comfort. These elements are evident throughout the entire home, where a perfectly balanced use of space and function prevail.

The structured roof lines have definition and distinction, together with the creative use of colour defines the confidant Architecture of the building. The seamless flow of colour and texture is evident from the exterior transcending all through the interior with painstaking attention to detail.

The clients needs have more than been met in this spacious functional and extremely comfortable home.
