Mt Claremont Residence (2012)

For more information see: http://www.yaelk.com.au/mt-claremont-residence-2012

Evoking a sense of contemporary design, this Mount Claremont property is a modern twist on the traditional family home.
The clients, and their 2 teenage sons, required a design that would accommodate a growing family, whilst conform to the strict budget AND be delivered on time.
Designer Yael Kurlansky of Yael K Designs has created a house that is stylish and timeless that ticks all the boxes, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a gym, games room, and study.
A south facing block on the hillside in Mount Claremont needed some lateral thinking to capture the Northern aspect and surrounding views. Along with this, the home needed to accommodate their wide array of needs, a private space for each member of the family, a pool and a “shoe store” (for the client’s 200 shoes) were some of the many requirements for this family home.
The focus on Careful zoning drove the concept, resulting in a home which offers an extremely high level of comfort, where Function along with practicality have been achieved and exploited.
The subtle warm ambiance is evident as you travel through the home where a perfectly balanced use of space and function prevail. This unfolds to the outdoor entertaining area, where the pool, the garden and the seamless indoor/outdoor relationship work.
The final design satisfied all of the owners’ needs and was delivered on time and on budget, the clients were overwhelmed with the outcome. The clients have said “Its the best money they have spent”
