This project retains and restores a heritage listed house in Palm Beach and provides new flexible living spaces and additional accommodation. The position of the original house on the site meant that only limited accommodation could be added behind which lead to the addition of a new level buried into the front lawn with an expansive ‘green roof’ above. This approach allowed the original home to remain centre-stage in a garden setting and for the new living areas and pool to share the spectacular views and position.
