The design intent was to convert an existing space into a fitting new office for one of Launceston’s leading real-estate agencies. The design was focused on promoting the ethos of the agency whilst establishing a strong streetscape presence whilst remaining sensitive to its context and functionality. The office’s glazed façade responds to the site context and transparency of the agency complimented by materials that set it apart. Transparent components are framed by a bold, timber form, drawing the user through an open, multifunctional and contemporary office space. The space is finished with warm timeless textures, building a relationship between the use of natural materials paired with modern high-end products and simple fixtures. The design successfully reinvigorates the agencies profile and local identity whilst creating an engaging and aesthetically tasteful work environment.
