RENOVATION: Views From The Sea To The Ranges

This house has 270 degree views from the ranges across to the sea, to capture this we opened up the living areas with massive windows looking out across the expansive vistas.

For the renovation we completely gutted downstairs and redesigned the layout to get two bedrooms, a bathroom, a media room and a garage/ laundry.

Outside of the original footprint we added an entry on the west side of the building and an atrium that looked into the rainforest on the West. To really capture the magic of this site, we added a boardwalk that was suspended through the rainforest.

We maintained the existing pool, redoing the landscaping and decking to bring it into the house better.

CHALLENGES: The clients lived in the house while we renovated and every wall and ceiling got touched at some point in the house so it was testing for the family.

BEST PART: We took a home that was purchased for 320k and sold it for 980k in a period over 2 years. At that time, only one house in Buderim had sold for over $1M, so we created a home that was right at the top of the market.
