Burgess House
The brief was to design a 'forever house' for this busy family with two young boys. It was important to create zones to enhance family living, whilst delivering a relaxed sanctuary for the owners during down time.
The new build included upstairs living to capture water views and high quality timeless finishes that would withstand wear and tear and age well. The clients also enjoy entertaining and so we designed a breakfast bar in the kitchen where family and friends can gather around the island bench or sit outside on the adjoining terrace.
Plenty of custom joinery was designed throughout to enhance the day to day living of the family including his and hers walk in robes plus loads of storage in key zones to keep house organised and reduce clutter.
Bespoke furnishings were custom designed by our team and manufactured by Grazia & Co and complimented with iconic pieces like the Featherston chair. We commissioned original artworks to compliment the furnishings and add a touch of unique style to the walls.
The colour palette of finishes included dark timber joinery contrasting with neutral white walls, plus brass/metalic finishes were added as an elegant highlight. Kitchen and bathroom surfaces included extensive use of Calacutta Marble, adding to the elegance of the finishes.
