Our gorgeous clients own and operate a farm and a hair salon about an hour and 15 mins from Perth. During our initial consultation we discovered that the home needed to be practical with no fuss. We worked with them over a period time to come up with something that suited the contemporary feeling they were after, and also exuded warmth and character.

Our brief included furnishing the living, dining, entry and part of the games/family room. When we attempted to include window treatments, lighting, art, soft furnishings and styling elements our clients stood firm on the no fuss rule.

We had lot's of discussion around layout, furniture choices, what would and wouldn't work and what would make them feel comfortable and the final result speaks for itself.

A beautiful, contemporary country home with a hint of industrial, the elegance and pared back vibe is stunning. We included classic pieces that will stand the test of time and added warmth through with wood and life with greenery. We also included some fabulous vintage touches (see the A-MAZ-ING hand made urns) and heartfelt pieces like the gorgeous photo of our client's grandfather working the same farm. Instead of hiding away the knitting basket, we found the perfect place for it to be on show and add personality to the space.

This home was already filled with warmth and love and it just goes to show you that a little upgrade in major furniture pieces, great conversations about the intricacies of blending old with new and form and function, plus adding a little quirk and fun that represents our clients has worked to create a beautiful modern, pared back and practical home.
