A compact apartment with little to no natural light, builder grade finishes and no storage was to become the new home for our client Narelle, her husband and her young adult son. The family also have a home in Bali where they spend at least half the year so it was imperative that this property be low maintenance and lock and leave.

The challenges were the lack of storage, the width of the apartment and the lack of natural light.

The benefits were the huge floor to ceiling sliding doors accessing the balcony which spans the entire living area and the master bedroom providing a much needed outdoor room.

Our brief was to start from scratch (keeping the bathrooms and toilets) and make this space feel warm and inviting and free of clutter.
