For a family of 5, the project involved adding and enlarging the family room/dining with a new link to n existing kitchen. The great gable of the all white cathedral ceiling captures and frames an intimate view of the leafy rear garden allowing a seamless transition from inside to out via oversized french doors. Baltic pine t & g flooring over a new slab integrated the old and new portions of the house. Small spaces are top-lit with large electrically operated velux skylights. Whilst the exposed beams and v-jointed ceiling lining are new there are numerous elements carefully salvaged and re-used. A new bathroom with cupboard laundry off a landscaped courtyard has been reconfigured.
