Stirling Renovation Project
Located in the idilic township of Stirling in the Adelaide Hills, this two storey tumble brick 1980’s home was in need of a contemporary update.
Hurren Architects were engaged to incorporate modern finishes, increase views to the garden and open existing living spaces to entertain visiting future generations.
Overall the project has given a much needed update to the original building. The introduction of two octagonal conservatories has created additional space to the floor plan while the Hampton style cabinetry gives the element of modern fresh sophistication.
Time has been taken to create flow throughout the renovation. Black and dark grey tones used across many materials form linkages between old and new. Functional wet areas were reallocated with consideration to upgrade all entrance ways for consistency.
Small details in window fittings, frames and coverings, cabinetry and lighting features add to the overall design while giving focus to the outside views.
