Dulux Snoop house exterior - alternatives to white for trims etc
Comments (8)Thanks jbantick. This is next door (I have just planted a fringed wattle hedge along this fence line) , and next up is a closer shot of the front porch of our place. We are about to replace the verandah tiles with spotted gum decking. It's not that you can see both houses from the street - we're both on battle-axe blocks - it's just that I'd like to go with something different if I can find it and it looks right....See MoreExterior dulux house colour............Help??
Comments (3)Hello. we used Lyttelton by Dulux for a lot of our inside painting & it's a lovely soft grey that isn't too blue. We used Remarkables for a feature colour. It's a very dark grey so we used it sparingly. For the outside we opted for a dark grey with an even darker trim (sorry I don't know the names) we have rendering. but our inside colour would be worth a look. Our grey (Lyttelton) is warm & picks up the light well. We looked a t a lot of greys but some were too blue based or slightly too beige & looked a bit washed out in full light. I am in NZ & here you can order larger A4 sized colour sheets to get a better look. We also painted test pots on to a bigger area in a few spots around the room before deciding. Best of luck with the painting. Who knew there were so many colour options out there, we went a bit crazy choosing. In the end I had to narrow it down to my top 3 choices & stop looking....See Moredulux exterior grey.. steel copy or diffused grey?
Comments (7)Hi Sarah, Best to get sample pots of both colours and test them. You will be surprised how much your perception of a colour will change between looking at a sample chip in the paint aisle of Bunnings, and under natural light in your front garden. Some lighter greys pick up some of the surrounding colours such as vegetation. Some colours look different when viewed vertically or horizontally as well! So a sample pot is the only way to be sure. By the way my crystal ball says that due to the changes to our current lifestyles and society because of the worldwide pandemic grey as a fashion colour will be declared dead and more positive, uplifting colours will become the new standard, as happened after World War 2.
