This enclosed kitchen had a load-bearing wall. To get an open floor plan, we eliminated the wall and had only a column. The results were spectacular. The home is positioned over a park with a pond, and every window has a great view. No longer is the cook relegated to a closed-off space. The kitchen, living room, and dining room are all one space!
