This is the second time this homeowner has worked with me to rehab their new home (see Havertown4 by Molly for the first one). This home's layout was complicated and cut up into many small rooms. We decided to remove all of the walls and move the kitchen into the dining room. This led to ceiling height variations, and the issue of removing a very large load-bearing wall. We added two pillars flanking the island to support smaller (less $$) headers. See the notes on each view to see how we met the design challenges.
