We cannot recommend Craig and Carla from Design Artistry highly enough. We completed the renovation of our three bedroom, three bathroom apartment last year and Craig and Carla were wonderful to work with. From concept to execution they were creative and professional, especially during a challenging COVID lockdown. The end result has achieved a beautiful, functional home. Design Artistry won KBDi Designer Award Large Kitchens NSW in 2022 for our kitchen. This is testament to the amazing design and quality of their work. Our kitchen is a joy. Craig and Carla are the best team I have ever worked with on any project. They are efficient, thoughtful - nothing is too much trouble. Working with them from outside Sydney I was never concerned about the renovation, I knew that they had everything handled. When you give your plans to them you get two-for-one; an expert builder and an interior designer who can tweak any little things to make the outcome look amazing. I am not experienced renovator and I was operating on a family-sized budget. They made everything so easy and pleasant, would recommend to anybody.

Carla and Craig Waghorn were recommended to us by a work colleague who was thrilled by the excellent work of Design Artistry for their renovation. And we have been just as impressed by this marvellous team. We had an old kitchen and a living room space that was cramped and needed modernising, as well as a pergola in need of a redesign. From our first meeting with Carla and Craig we found them both to be excellent communicators, friendly and dedicated. Carla's innovative design ideas and ability to conceptualise a vision of the final product made us feel that we were in good hands from the beginning. Craig's easy manner and patience combined with his obvious extensive knowledge of his trade made us very comfortable to entrust him with our project. The whole renovation ran smoothly and was completed on schedule with impressive efficiency and quality. Craig worked with a cohesive team of tradesmen who were all excellent in their individual trades. It was a pleasure to see them working well together, with obvious mutual respect between the Design Artistry team and their contractors. It was very reassuring to us that Craig employed such high quality tradespeople who, like Carla and Craig, took great pride in their work. The end result is a stunning new kitchen, functional new living space and new pergola area which we are enjoying immensely. We have no hesitation in recommending Design Artistry and we would definitely choose them again for any future building work.

We employed Design Artistry to swap over our old bathroom with the spare bedroom. From the outset, Craig and Carla were fantastic: they gave us several options for the design and were very open to our suggestions too. Once we had agreed on the changes, all the building work was completed to a very high standard, on time and within budget. Throughout the process they kept us informed about the progress of the works and solved issues as they arose. They were very professional but also very friendly. We are delighted with our renovations and would not hesitate to use their services again. We can't recommend them highly enough!

I recently completed another successful project using Design Artistry. We transformed an original run down inner west terrace which not only was dilapidated, but also presented some major challenges in terms of an outdated floor plan and plumbing and electrical infrastructure. Having previously used Design Artistry on another renovation, they were a natural fit for the job. Plans were developed for a major reconfiguration of the bathroom and kitchen / living areas including services, and opening of walls. Dynamic duo Carla and Craig Waghorn are proven professionals in their field and together they came up with fantastic ideas for converting what was once a dysfunctional labyrinth of rooms into a beautiful modern and cohesive living space. Doubts about where to begin were immediately dispelled within the first meeting as Carla and Craig were very effective in communicating their vision for the property. You find yourself quickly drawn in to their enthusiasm. They came up with great ideas I could not have envisaged without them. But a dream dreamt alone remains a dream. A dream dreamt together becomes a reality. The planning and execution undertaken by the team at Design artistry is the reality. Carlas design plans and Craigs practical build plans were first rate. A comprehensive and detailed plan of execution resulted with clear timelines for the entire project. Underpinning this were a team of excellent trades who work effectively as a team under Craigs direction for a common outcome. Not only was the project completed on time and to set standards, but it was a pleasure having and accommodating the team in our space, The result is a transformation we are still smarting about with excitement. Carla and Craig are a great team and really helped us both design and deliver an incredible outcome with the complete internal renovation of our 200+sqm apartment in Sydney's eastern suburbs. From a great new kitchen with all the functionality and high-end finish that did not break the bank to 3.5 brand new bathrooms really well designed with style and function, full fit out in 3 bedrooms and 2 fantastic dressing rooms plus a private parents retreat with sliding barn doors With Carla's design knowledge and Craig's pragmatic approach to problem solving with all aspects of the building fit out,they reduced the stress levels of taking on a major renovation. Craig was very well organised with all the trades and kept us updated at all times, we never felt left out of the process. We had times when unsure of what to do next in terms of design changes and both Carla and Craig were very patient and worked through all amendments with clear cost implications and helpful solutions. We would have no hesitation in using Design Astistry again and are very happy with the overall project outcome.

Working with Craig & Carla to design and implement the renovation of our bathroom was so much easier than any other renovation we have undertaken. Their professionalism, detail and communication was fabulous and the result, on time and on budget, is outstanding. We also were extremely impressed by their Sub-Contractors who were on time, courteous, clean (& tidied up after themselves) and whose workmanship was of a very high standard. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again - and hope to in the future.

We are incredibly pleased with our kitchen/family room/laundry/study renovation. Carla’s vision with Craig’s building skill converted an aged inefficient and drab space into an exciting, attractive and useful area with a stunning kitchen, a great family room and study and a walk-in pantry/laundry. Isn’t it interesting how when you tell people you’re renovating your house all the nightmare stories come out! Well, can I say, we are first time renovators & what an awesome experience we’ve had!! All thanks to Craig & Carla from Design Artistry. We completely renovated our townhouse updating to open plan contemporary living, with new kitchen, main bathroom & ensuite, laundry, outdoor entertaining area and even created a retreat for the kids. As most time poor people today, and besides the fact that we had no idea where to start, we wanted someone who could just take care of everything for us. And we most certainly found them! Craig & Carla were there every step of the way, from the initial designs of each space to helping us choose tiles! It was fantastic having Craig & Carla’s years of experience and most importantly practical knowledge, on our side. Nothing was ever too much trouble or an inconvenience. Renovations were completed on time and of the highest standard. I never thought I’d say this but, if you ever need a builder who is honest, trustworthy, reliable and genuinely cares about his customers, Craig’s your guy! We would highly recommend Design Artistry. Working with Carla and Craig from design to renovation completion led to a seamless workflow that created a home that we love. They helped design and renovate our kitchen, two bathrooms, a laundry, living spaces, hallways (with stunning skylights) and two patios. They listened to our style and recommended simple yet elegant solutions to improve our home. Our only regret was that we didn't find them earlier.
