You would think with Scottish blood I wouldn't be, but yes.

When I had kids we always sat at the table no matter what. Now I live on my own I have lunch on my deck (unless it is freezing cold!) and dinner is where ever I feel at the time I want to. Could be in front of the computer, or at the table.

for 40 years we ate at the dining table as a family - prayers then tea - talking about our day - our children still remember this and are grateful (no tv) now just the two of us - perhaps my oldest son - and unless there is company its eat on your lap tv blaring with computers going same time -

I get home from work later than my family, so tend to eat my serve/leftovers/whatever I can find on the couch since they have already eaten together. On the rare occasion we're all together, we eat in kitchen-dining.

Mostly on our back verandah area, lovely during summer not so great during this freezing winter we are having.

It's the feet under that can be the other ingredient.

Having been raised in an era when TV was invented we ended up eating in front of it with dinner on lap. When I had my own family the rule was made that we ate at dining table no TV on, because that's how the Brady Bunch, My three sons, Little House on the Praire all did it. And we've done that ever since, in summer on patio and winter inside, but we all sit down together. I'm lucky out jobs and lives enable this to happen.
