What style of fabric

We have a lounge suite of 2 chairs and one 3 seater, Has black vinyl and avocado wool in checked fabric. We like the danish look and it is a period piece that has been in family, Our style is modernist japanese in our new house and we can't decide on fabric or style. But lean to earthy colours .

Comments (22)OK... final grasp at a straw - your set of chairs for when they are not visiting, and when extended family come over, bring out fold out chairs with washable slipcovers? I know how difficult it is when you want to have a room that you like but you are having to adapt it for just for the one-off occasions and not as you would like it ideally. Comments (4)I think stay away from grey, you need towels that pop. Mint and lemon, even fluoro orange (I know, I know, it sounds ghastly) but Aura by Tracie Ellis have a divine range of beautiful geometrics, not block colours. Comments (3)I happen to love shaker style, but it kind of depends on the mood/style you're going for in the rest of the house. Your floating shelves are already a bit modern/transitional, and most of what you see from the back of the island is glass upper cabinets so I think you could easily go the modern/transitional direction with the clean doors. If you're more into traditional, and are planning on going that direction with light fixtures and furniture, etc., continue with the shaker....See More- 6 years ago
We have now fully refurbished the entire lounge suite and will look amazing in the new house
