Thanks. Based on earthy tones In your Splashback and bench top the cabinetry colour appears quite overpowering. How about 1/2 strength Dulux ecru which works with the other tones in the space (incl tone of Splashback and bench top)? The Haymes / Whitewash palette (no.2 or 3 perhaps another good choice). I was liking Dulux 1/2 strength Grand Piano but without knowing floor then it may come off too grey against yellow. Consider getting sample pot for 1/2 ecru and painting in corner shown in pic. Have you thought about painting cupboards? Handles... Based on profile of cabinets then consider range from Lek supply or Castella (look at their online products). Nothing too modern. Vintage pewter handles would suit profile.

I am going to disagree with siriuskey in that you can't use a laminex as a spashback when it is adjacent to a cooktop due to potential damage from the heat. The joint where it meets the benchtop can also be problemmatic where the vertical laminex meets the horizontal laminex. It can be coved, but if the benchtops have already been ordered it will be too late for this. However siriuskey is right about keeping it simple. I would suggest a tiled splashback that either matches the colour of the Pumice laminex cupboards, or works with the Laminex benchtop, so you are not introducing a new colour and it is fairly neutral. Have a look at Johnson Tiles Spectrum Range for a tile called "Linen" as a starting point, and compare it with your real life samples (not just digital images). cladding over brick creates challenges around windows and doors so unless there's a structural problem with the bricks and they have to be covered over i suggest that painting the bricks would complement the cottage look and be much easier and cheaper than more cladding although another option could be to paint the bricks and reclad the garage with smooth cladding and i wonder if painting the garage a darker colour and the house a lighter shade of the same colour would also help balance the look of the different walls

Okay, understand. The laser screens will look wonderful. You could also "square off" the water tank with the screens, as well. The laser screens can be spaced apart as well. But maybe put the screening at least five metres away from the home. This will allow for a new clothesline in that area, and maybe a BBQ. The attached photos may help. The wooden slats may also be an option. It would soften the exterior of your home. Black and wood looks good. Regarding the pipes etc on your home. Black always looks good against a red brick home. I'm still thinking what roof colour?
