Is this your house or is it a rental ? Are you on a tight budget ? Do an internet search for Terrace House or Georgian or Colonial Bedroom images and there are lots to see . Others will have some detailed ideas but it would be helpful to answer the questions first .

Ok seal up the door well to stop drafts as the first step and budget for some heavy floor length curtains for warmth and texture, sheets behind are optional as you have blinds for privacy.
Provide a floor plan with measurements. What size bed do you want to fit?

Add some cushions. If you need a new doona and cover, buy them. Add a high back comfy chair for the corner. Add a floor rug at the end or side of bed. Add a desk for a plant and favourite stationery. Add a chest of drawers for more storage,and display your favourite things on top. Add a plant in the other corner. If allowed, hang art work.
The art work you have at the moment is great.
Remove ironing board(not cosy). Close it up and store next to your wardrobe with a towel or piece of fabric over it.

Ok so French doors are on the street frontage. In that case I would leave bed where it is, but I would add a wide high curtain rod above the window behind to form a backdrop for the bed with shears always closed, creating illusion the window is wider and allowing the bed to be further from fireplace, centred between front of house and fireplace. Matching sets of curtains on both windows to the floor.

It looks like it could be a dark room, so paint it a bright, darker colour. That fireplace will pop and look amazing.

Find a funky bright chair for spot where ironing board sits now. Behind bed pull down blind. Paint one wall in a colour that brings the chair to life. Add one or two coordinating cushions for bed. Add A couple of large paintings and it will look less clinical, and become comfy and cosy.

Claire wonderful idea !
But I don’t want to do too much as it’s a heritage property don’t want to spoil anything but work with what I have !
