Beautiful house, love your colour choices, love the white door it sits perfectly into the house, adding feature planter/planters or adding a taller plant in planter you have would look beautiful, you mentioned painting the door, you could do that in your dark colour but I absolutely love the white( it’s what you love that’s important) the stone retaining wall is art in itself, you could add intermittent trailing plants so as not to hide the beautiful stonework, casuarina intertwined with dichondra’silver falls’ would look gorgeous, Xanadu is another lush foliage plant. Your home really doesn’t need much , it’s beautiful.

Agree. The house doesn’t need anything. I’d replace the letterbox with something more substantial. And then focus on the landscaping. Have a look at Peter Fudge gardens for inspiration. I’d consider replacing at least one of the lawn tiers with a low planting.

Agree, there are some great mail boxes out there, and yes Peter Fudge was inspirational and his gardens incredible, you may get some ideas and planting from his beautiful gardens.

The house is very nice , personally I think the render looks a bit too blue , but its liveable .

BUT some of the lower windows look like they have a dark tint or painted black . It sort of distracts , but I'd suggest either do them all like that , or none .

But my main suggestion would be to do the entrance doors , the small vent up higher , and that grating that I assume covers a gas meter or similar ( over the left hand side ) , all in the same black/dark charcoal as the roof . It'll just be enough to distract frpm the render tone , and tie everything together .

Combined with the gardens and letterbox , it will all look even better IMO .

I wasn’t sure about planting between the rocks - I very much wanted too but was worried it could look too messy. I will definitely now. I have numerous Xanadu so will on look at one or your other great suggestions Julie.
Definitely on the hunt for a nice tall planter, haven’t found the perfect one yet.
I really didn’t consider a white front door - was thinking of a bright colour but on reflection white could be good too!

Pottsy the windows are just regular style I think it’s just the photo angle, interesting though, I hadn’t noticed it before. Interesting you see blue in the wall colour. I had to choose something a little on the warm side to blend with the primrose window frames. Again I think it might be my bad photography

I've just looked at the picture again , and I don't think its your photography .

The doors are definitely white , and are quite a bit lighter than the walls . The car on the left looks silvery grey , and the street in front looks a darker shade , but not as dark as the roof . So those tones are all as you would expect . Similarly , the driveway looks to have an exposed aggregate finish -- off whites , browns and charcoals , again as expected .

To me , the walls do have a blueish , almost light greyish tinge , and to me that is what makes it appear less interesting , but also why I'd go darker on the doors etc -- the white against a blue tone is getting a bit cliche'd these days IMO , whereas darker is more on trend , whilst reds and greens wouldn't really work .

Almost ! That looks good thanks siruskey -- I'd do the little vent up above the main window too , as well as that battening/cover over the left hand side too , but IMO it ties it together better .
